One of the biggest things that affects your ability to get a home mortgage is your credit score.  Lenders use that score
to determine whether they will lend you money or not.  Lenders also use that score to determine the interest rate they
will charge you.

There are a lot of companies on the web offering up free credit scores but many of these are not used by the
Lender Institutions and you need to be careful who you trust with your personal information. Make sure to get
your credit score from same sources that your lender will use, FICO, Plus Score from Experian, Trans Risk Score from TransUnion, Equifax Credit Score from Equifax and/or Vantage Score.
