The Silver Line is a go to open July 26, Metro confirmed on Monday, though some work remains “incomplete.” Dan Stessel, Metro’s communication director, provided the weekly Silver Line update, and the news was generally good. A week of simulated service launches July 20. The Tri-State Oversight Committee has identified no major issues during its field work. The certificates of occupancy for the stations will be in hand by early next week. Metro's trip planner has been updated to reflect Silver Line service. And most importantly, the first Silver Line train carrying passengers will leave Wiehle Avenue-Reston East on Saturday, July 26, at noon. More details on the inaugural launch event are expected next week. Contact Marilee Murphy today for all of your home buying, or selling, luxury homes or new construction needs.
