Modest Uptick in Inventory Levels as New Listing Activity Outpaces 2012
Levels; Distressed Inventory Shrinks as Home Prices Increase
Ashburn, VA – (September 12, 2013) – The following analysis of the Loudoun County, Virginia housing market has
been prepared for the Dulles Area Association of REALTORS® based on analysis of MRIS multiple listing data by
RealEstate Business Intelligence, LLC (RBI).
Overview
Nearly all housing indicators continued trending positive for Loudoun County’s home sellers in August compared to
last year. Over 20 percent more homes were sold, prices were up over 15 percent, homes sold a full week faster,
and on average, more than 98 percent of seller’s original list price was received at closing. Distressed listings remain
